Ramadan Camp

Day 1: Welcome to our campus and check-in. After your rest, we’ll guide you through our campus orientation. Later on, we’ll visit the Kizimkazi Village.

Day 2: On your second day, you will visit the Spice Garden to explore Zanzibar’s rich spice history and unique flora. Afterwards, we’ll head to Stone Town for a special iftar, a cherished tradition where the streets are beautifully decorated, creating a festive atmosphere.

Day 3: On your third day, we will come together to prepare food packages for local families in need. From selecting and purchasing supplies to personally distributing the packages, you’ll be involved in each step of this meaningful process. It’s an opportunity to connect with the community, lend a helping hand, and make a real impact during this special time of Ramadan.

Day 4: During your stay in Zanzibar, you will have the enriching opportunity to meet with orphan children, who possess a resilient spirit that shines brightly despite life’s challenges. Ensure to bring games with you to foster connections through shared activities and playtime, fostering meaningful interactions that leave a positive impact on both sides.

Day 5: On your fifth day, you’ll first participate in a doll-making workshop with mothers in need, creating handcrafted dolls. Later, we will come together to give Zakat to those in need. You will actively participate in distributing Zakat, ensuring that it reaches the individuals and families who need it most. This day offers a meaningful opportunity to fulfill this important charitable obligation.

Day 6: On the East Coast, we will explore Mitende, renowned for its stunning beach nestled against dramatic cliffs. Afterwards, we will proceed to Paje, where you can peruse traditional local shops, swim in the crystal-clear waters, and savor delicious coffee at beachside restaurants while admiring kite surfers and local dancers. Don’t miss the opportunity to browse ornaments offered by Masai beach vendors.

Day 7: We will participate in collaborative training classes and workshops with local artisans, specializing in soap making. Our journey will also take us to Kanga Village, facilitating cultural exchange. Following this, we will have the chance to swim with turtles, adding a unique and memorable experience to our adventure.

Each evening around 6:30 pm, we’ll join the local community in Kanga Village to break our fast together. Sharing Iftar with the villagers offers a unique chance to experience the spirit of Ramadan through authentic connections, unity, and gratitude.
